About Arin and her Astrology Practice

I'm a contemporary astrologer practicing traditional, Hellenistic techniques with an emphasis on applying the celestial to everyday life in grounded, practical ways. As above, so below.

I was born and raised in rural South Dakota and currently live and work in central Iowa, on the ancestral lands of the Oceti Šakowiŋ, Ioway, Sauk, and Meskwaki peoples. One of the gifts of rural life has always been the night sky—vast, quiet, awe-inspiring. Over time, my love of stargazing evolved into a deeper devotion to astrology.

I began my formal study of astrology in 2017 and have had the honor of learning from some of the most gifted astrologers and teachers in the Western tradition, including Adam Elenbaas of Nightlight Astrology and Austin Coppock. I also have the privilege of serving as a teaching assistant for both Adam and Austin in their respective programs, including Nightlight’s Introduction to Horary Astrology and Roots & Spheres courses.

My practice is rooted in traditional, Hellenistic methods. I use Whole Sign Houses in natal work and Regiomontanus for horary. I also draw on a professional background in counseling and social work, and my approach is informed by a commitment to clarity, compassion, and service. I strive to honor my teachers and the wisdom traditions they’ve shared with me, always with the aim of helping clients find meaning, timing, and agency in their lives.

I love exploring the symbolic interplay between the sky and the lived human experience—whether through birth chart work, timing techniques, or simply tracking the shifting rhythms of life.
